This cute little zipped handbag can be made for day or evening. It also makes a great kid's bag.

You will learn to insert a zip, sew darts and insert a strap in a "boxed corner" seam. You will also learn to alter the design by varying the straps and fabrics, and by adding rings to the straps.

Design Variations
A fine pvc in faux "osterich skin" A cute kids bag made in bright cotton fabric. Cut two straps, and tie them in the middle

An evening bag made with chiffon has a chain for a strap

Use large rings or bangles instead of a strap, and the bag folds into a little "punching bag" shape.

This bag is made in shiny pvc, but you could use an evening fabric to make an elegant little wrist-bag.

  Bright fabric, appliqué and a yo-yo make for a cute kids bag.

The fabric is given structure with medium-heavy iron-on interfacing and the straps have o-rings.
