Design Variations
The front pocket of this black bag is used as a
'canvas' for a machine-embroidered design.

These bags are made with medium-light interfacing
to give structure to the fabric. On lighter fabrics you
may also use light fusible wadding to add more body.
They have plastic handles and 14mm Magnetic snaps.
There is an internal zip pocket as well as
a compartment pocket.

 This Amy Butler deco
weight fabric bag is
embellished with yo-yos and running stitch.

 

A simple button with a loop (attached at the top
of the bag) make a design feature on this bag.

 A zipped patch pocket is
added to the outside of
this cotton print bag.
You can also "box" the bottom corners of the bag to make it have
a box-like shape rather than being flat, and you can add straps.

This pattern can also be made as a LEVEL 2 (Basic sewing skills) bag
by eliminating the splits at the top of the side seams.
