This is a roomy bag that can be re-invented as an
overnight bag, a nappy bag or just an everyday carry-all.
This new pattern combines a simple shape with the
fine finishing techniques of a designer bag. It’ll
take budding bag-maker’s sewing skills to the next level,
and the result is a great bag to impress friends, family and passers-by!
YOU WILL LEARN –
- How to make a zip closure for the bag*.
- How to make a structured base with purse feet
- A variety of internal and external pockets
- How to make a crisp, structured edge at the top of a bag with
a professional finish.
- How to make belt loops
- How to add magnetic snaps
- How to vary the straps by adding rings or changing the length
and width, or make overlaid straps (with or without rings).
- LOADS of tips for making well-finished bags EASY!
*The zip closure and structured base require intermediate sewing skills,
but the rest of the bag is BASIC level. (If you're
not sure, keep it simple for the first bag, and then MOVE ON..YOU

Hobo

The Hobo is a soft, slouchy shoulder bag for everyday use. Vary
the fabrics, straps and embellishments to make a variety of designs.
YOU WILL LEARN –
- How to make a zip closure for the bag*.
- A variety of internal pockets (a mobile phone pocket*, a compartment
pocket and a zipped pocket)
- How to make a crisp, curved edge at the top of a bag with a
professional finish.
- How to make a button loop closure
- How to vary the straps by adding rings or changing the length
and width.
- How to sew a curved facing to a curved lining
- LOADS of tips for making well-finished bags EASY!
*The zip closure and mobile phone pocket require intermediate sewing
skills, but the rest of the bag is BASIC level. (If
you're not sure, keep it simple for the first bag, and then MOVE ON

This is a roomy shoulder bag, with a comfortable wide strap and
internal pockets. It wraps from one shoulder and sits around the
opposite hip.
You will learn professional techniques to fit
a large, curved facing which includes the straps, as well as make
a button & loop closure and magnetic snap closure. The strap
length, embellishments and fabric can be varied
to create a range of designs.

This is a roomy shopping bag, overnight bag or nappy
bag, with a comfortable wide strap and internal pockets. It wraps
from one shoulder and sits around the opposite hip.
The construction is the same as the Small Wrap, but
it is a different shape and size. You will learn the
same techniques with both these patterns.
Vary the design with different
strap length, fabrics and embellishments*.

to carry “the essentials”. Can be a clutch, a shoulder
bag or a handbag.
This is a very easy-to-make pattern - just a step up from "
Absolute Beginner" level.
You'll learn to vary
the straps, flap, fabrics and embellishments* to make a bag for
every occasion. You'll also learn how to make a zip
closure at the top of the bag. (The zip closure requires
intermediate sewing skills, but the rest of the bag is BASIC).

Curved Flat Bag

Use plastic,
bamboo or wooden handles to make this simple little swing bag.
It's a perfect "canvas" for your own individual embellishments*,
and it can also have an external pocket.
You will learn professional techniques to create
a crisp curved line and make the lining sit flat inside the top
of the bag. You'll also learn how to make internal compartment pockets,
and how to attach handles and magnetic clips.

Evening Bag

This Evening Bag pattern is just the right size for "all you
need on a night out! It also makes a small daytime bag or a cute
kid's handbag!
Like the Dress Bag, it's a very easy-to-make pattern - a gentle
step up from " Absolute Beginner" level.
You'll learn to vary
the strap design, add handles and make corded straps. You 'll
also learn to use wadding
and interfacings to create structure in the bag.
