This slimline shoulder bag sits snugly under your arm as you weave
your way through city crowds. It has a zippered closure at the top
for added security. It's a real city-slicker!
You will learn to insert a zip on a curve, make
internal compartment and zip pockets and stabilise the bag base.
You'll also learn how to attach straps on a "boxed corner"
seam. (And if you didn't already know, you'll ALSO learn what a
"boxed corner" is!!).
Vary the straps, fabrics and
embellishments* to make a bag to match every outfit!

Sling

The Sling can be soft and unstructured,
or smart and sharp, depending on your fabric choice. It has
long straps which can be made to be long, short or adjustable.
You will learn how to successfully fit a large
facing to a curved bag shape, and make a clean. crisp edge on the
curve at the top of the bag. You will also learn how to stabilise
the wide base of the bag, and how to vary the zip pocket style.

Small Slouch

This cute little zipped handbag can be made for day or evening.
It also makes a great kid's bag.
You will learn to insert a zip, sew darts and
insert a strap in a "boxed corner" seam. You will also
learn to alter the design by
varying the straps and fabrics, and by adding rings to the straps.
